Elux Legend Mini Disposable Vaping Device

This selection of Elux Legend Mini disposables has been provided to me by the fine people here at HeatNotBurn in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Elux Legend Mini Disposable VariationsThe market of disposable vape devices continues to expand and improve almost every day. Their ease of use and wide selection of flavours makes them difficult to pass by, compared to the generally poor performance of early versions. This time I’ve been asked to review the Elux Legend Mini, and I was more than happy to oblige.

Each device is 10cm (4in) long, 2cm square, and they come in a wide range of colours that relates to the flavour of each device (e.g. the Fresh Mint is light green; Pink Lemonade is white and yellow). With a formed mouthpiece at one end, the other end is home to a blue LED that lights up when the device is activated by draw and flashes 10 times when the device is finished (each contains approximately 600 puffs/2ml of 20mg nicotine salt e-liquid). It also acts as the placement for the reasonably-tight airflow. I experienced no leaking or spitback, and the Elux Legend Mini is capable of producing a pleasant-sized cloud without being excessive.

Taste is entirely subjective, and your mileage may vary.

The review – 17 flavours

Elux Legend Mini Disposables In Jar

  • Blueberry Bubble Gum – Bubble gum flavours are always fun to review. This pairing with blueberry does not disappoint, evoking childhood memories of being rewarded for good behaviour at the grocery store with a coin to be used in a candy machine of my choosing.
  • Blueberry Pomegranate – A strong pairing of cool juicy blueberry with fresh tart pomegranate, this flavour combination was a solid choice to add to the Elux menu. Neither fruit overpowers the other, which gives it the easy possibility of becoming a blueberry- or pomegranate-lover’s favourite.
  • Blueberry Sour Raspberry – As I’ve said before, blueberry is a common starter flavour on its own, while raspberry is often left out in the cold. This take on the mix wasn’t so much “sour” as it was a menthol (the “jump-down-your-throat-and-scrub” type). If you’re able to stick with it past the initial blast (usually a few dozen puffs) the menthol-like experience disappears to leave a more traditional blueberry flavour. There isn’t much raspberry to be had, nor is there much in the way of “sour” (though, to be fair, that one is difficult to pull off at the best of times). Not bad, but also not what I’d call a winner.
  • Clear – A much less “in your face with mint”-version of Fresh Mint, this flavour has a very light taste of spearmint with an added cooling effect. I’d even go so far as to compare it to vaping a flavourless e-liquid: there’s a slight sweetness to it that one could easily attribute to the natural sweetness of the VG (vegetable glycerin) component of e-liquid.
  • Fresh Mint – A possible good recommendation for those who enjoyed smoking full-flavoured menthol cigarettes (me!), this one tastes just like a piece of spearmint chewing gum.
  • Fuji Melon – This Elux Mini is described as being a blend of red apples and melon. The end result is a refreshing red apple paired with juicy cantaloupe. I questioned this flavour at first, but it quickly grew on me.
  • Grape – Like many single-flavour options out there (apple, blueberry, watermelon to name a few), grape is one of those that can either work or not. Either the flavour has an overwhelming artificial taste, or it is a rich, juicy experience. This attempt isn’t at the juicy end of the scale nor is it quite at the artificial end either. It’s there somewhere in the middle, but I wouldn’t hesitate to call it “muted” or “flat.” If you like a subtle flavour, this one might suit you. If not, you may want to consider giving it a pass.
  • Mango Ice – The bright sweet+tart of fresh mango, with a smooth lingering chill on the exhale. I really enjoy mango-flavoured vapes, so this one was an obvious choice to be one of my favourites from this line of disposables.
  • Mr Blue – Described as being a combination of blueberry, blackberry, and raspberry, this bar is a delightful and sweet dark berry flavour with a refreshing chill throughout.
  • Pink Lemonade – This is a flavour that can be wildly hit-or-miss: sometimes tasting of pink lemonade drink mix, sometimes of strawberry lemonade, sometimes neither one. Happily, this one is a hit. With the true taste of pink lemonade, the tangy kick of a fresh lemon slice makes it an ideal vape to use on a day spent out in the sunshine.
  • Sour Apple – I was an instant fan of this flavour, reminiscent of a tart green apple candy finished off with a slight cooling sensation on the exhale.
  • Strawberry Ice Cream – A fabulous offering of juicy strawberries and sweet cream, one could easily be fooled into thinking they were tucking into a dish of strawberry ice cream rather than having a vape.
  • Strawberry Kiwi – In the past I’ve sometimes found strawberry, when combined with other fruits, to be overwhelming. That’s not the case here: the kiwi flavour is equally present and makes for a smooth and tasty end result.
  • Tiger Blood – Touted as “an energy drink-inspired flavour, bolstered by a cooling hint of menthol for an icy finish”, Tiger Blood is a unique flavour. Does it match the description? Well, not quite. There *is* a hint of menthol, but that is all it is. A hint. Most of the other Elux Legend flavours that have menthol, it is present throughout its life – to varying degrees – but Tiger Blood barely has any. As for the “energy drink-inspired” aspect, there’s little in common with the most (in)famous energy drink (that may, or may not, give you wings). Tiger Blood has, for me, a red berry style taste. While it isn’t an unpleasant flavour, it didn’t really remind me of an energy drink.
  • Watermelon Ice – I’m always happy when I get asked to review a watermelon flavour, and I found this Elux Mini to be very good. Sweet watermelon, together with a refreshing chill that gives a boost to the throat hit from the nicotine.
  • White Peach Razz – I was expecting either the peach or raspberry to be dominant in this combination, but much to my surprise they are equally balanced and make for a deliciously sweet and slightly tart pairing.
  • Vimto – For those that may not know, Vimto (as a drink) originated in Blighty (for our sins) and is a mix of Blackcurrant, Raspberry and Grape (there are some herbs and spices in there too, but as flavours go they aren’t particularly noteworthy). As a drink, it is delicious. There have been many attempts at crafting a Vimto flavoured vape. Some have been good, some have been mediocre and some, unsurprisingly, have been downright terrible. Fortunately for me, the attempt from Elux is actually pretty good. It does skew towards a more blackcurrant heavy style of Vimto which does make it lean more towards a Ribena type flavour than a Vimto one. However, don’t let that distract you from what is, quite frankly, a juicy flavour that could easily become an all-day vape for many.
